Testimonials

Each exercise is designed to help your horse learn to jump correctly –and to help you learn proper form. Gymnastics frees you from the need to turn your horse with the reins while your horse is going through the series of jumps! This lets you work on your form while your horse works on his form, rhythm and style!

“Cathy’s format encourages her students to have a disciplined approach…”

Brody Robertson“There are two things that are really good about Cathy’s system: 1) Gymnastics with properly set distances give both horse and rider an opportunity to jump a series of fences from the ideal take-off spot. This gives them great confidence and experience. Once the horse has gone over the first pole at the proper speed, the rest takes care of itself. 2) The progressive nature over the course of a year’s bi-weekly lessons is super! Too many people want to skip to the more advanced lessons in the back of a book without having mastered the introductory lessons first. They are the stepping stones to all of your training at the higher levels. Cathy’s format encourages her students to have a disciplined approach that will build a solid foundation to their riding. Good luck!”

“Gymnastics are an important part of teaching a horse to jump…”

Dr. Kathyrn Ott DVM.“Gymnastics are an important part of teaching a horse to jump as well as maintaining and improving the form and strength of an experienced horse. Gymnastics allows you to teach a horse good jumping style without having to jump big jumps. Gymnastics are also very beneficial to the rider allowing them to improve rhythm, position and strength over the jumps. I use gymnastics at least once a week to keep my horses and myself fit and sharp.”

“I would just like to thank you guys for posting your gymnastics training forms…”

Ashley“I would just like to thank you guys for posting your gymnastics training forms. They are helping me train my green jumper. I also live in MN, but unfortunately too far away for lessons or training. I would like to thank you again for posting those. They have helped a lot! Hope to see you guys at some shows this year.”
